The Tigers hosted the Orioles at the Lewis Monk Field for a chance to play in the Churchill Championship series. The Tiger’s pitched Cam Markt (3 Shutout Innings) and the Orioles sent Drew Botto to the hill. The Tigers got on the board first scoring 3 runs in the first inning on hits by Ryan Censullo (2 for 2 with a double), Justin Connolly (2 for 3 with a double) and Cam Markt (2 for 3 with a double). Robbie Hanlon crushed a triple in the second inning and scored the Tigers 4th run. The Tigers added 2 more runs in the 3rd inning on a leadoff single by Markt and a monster Home Run by Sean Bruno (2 for 3, HR and double). The Orioles came back with 3 runs in the 5th with hits by Jimmy Melican and Dylan Vienot with a huge double. The Tigers got great relief pitching by Sean Bruno and Kyle Lind. The defensive play of the game came in the sixth when Justin Auger tried to stretch a single into a double and was caught in the run down on a great throw by Censullo to get Auger trying to return to first base. The Tigers were able to secure a second straight trip to the Championship Series.
