The Redwings and Storm went at it Tuesday night in a #2 vs. #3 playoff game at Hesseltine field in front of a packed house. The game started out as a early pitchers duel as Garrett Collins and John Pappo went at it. The Storm got early hits by Ethan Peete and Brian Dinarello, however a great defensive play by Julia Traversy at first base on a line drive that turned into a double play seemed to provide the spark that the wings needed as Jack Adams(2 RBI), Sean Cady(1 RBI), Nolan Brith(2 RBI)and Kevin Nickerson(1 RBI) had big at bats to put the wings out in front. Will Dolaher came in to provide solid relief pitching(2 innings)and keep the Wings from adding to there lead. However on this night pitching was the story as Robert Mele and Garrett Collins combined to keep the Storm batters at bay all night as they provided the Wings with solid pitching that enabled them to advance to the championship game.
