Summer Leagues The Churchill American Little League (CALL) usually fields three teams as part of the Jimmy Fund Summer League sponsored by District 12 of Little League; one team each of 9-year olds, 10 year-olds and 11-year olds. These teams play teams in the same age group from around District 12 (Somerville, Malden, Medford, Revere, Everett and Melrose). Participation in this league is based on skill level demonstrated during the regular league season and a willingness to fully participate in the summer season, which runs from early July to mid-August. If your son or daughter is interested in participating in the Jimmy Fund Summer League please see the coach or the league representative. CALL charges a separate fee to participate in the Jimmy Fund Summer League and expects players to participate in fund raising for the Jimmy Fund. From time to time, CALL also sponsors other summer leagues, depending on the availability of volunteers to organize and coach a team. The opportunities for other summer baseball include Bay State League, Lou Tompkins League and Malden Summer League. If you are interested in organizing a summer team, please attend the regular board meetings to become involved. |
